As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our freight forwarding operations and support our mission of moving freight with precision, compliance, and care.

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day freight forwarding operations for both domestic and international shipments. This role is ideal for a logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong industry knowledge, and is ready to lead a team focused on performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the operations team responsible for import/export shipments via air, ocean, and domestic trucking.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, TSA, FMC, and international trade regulations.
• Maintain high operational standards by monitoring KPIs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments and documentation.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with carriers, global agents, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot shipment issues, resolve delays, and manage escalations professionally and efficiently.
• Train and mentor staff to uphold company standards and enhance operational capabilities.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and freight market conditions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of freight forwarding operations experience, with strong exposure to both domestic and international shipping.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics documentation, INCO terms, HTS codes, AES filings, and compliance procedures.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working with TMS/WMS systems and logistics platforms.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Familiarity with Dangerous Goods (DG), bonded cargo, and customs brokerage processes preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
