Location: Charlotte, NC or surrounding cities in Raleigh/Durham/Greensboro area

Job Description:

We’re looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This role is key to bringing our digital and brand content strategies to life by leading and executing social media initiatives that grow our audience and boost engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong aesthetic sense and a blend of strategic, creative, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of social media strategy and content planning across all platforms.
  • Create and curate compelling, brand-aligned content including visuals, videos, and copy tailored to each channel.
  • Produce short-form videos and graphics for social use and collaborate with other content creators.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics for both organic and paid social efforts, offering insights and recommendations.
  • Plan and manage paid social campaigns from start to finish.
  • Oversee community engagement and manage influencer partnerships, including outreach and coordination.
  • Maintain the social media calendar and align with the broader digital content strategy.
  • Coordinate content contributions from internal teams and partners.
  • Stay current on social media trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field—or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years managing social media for a brand, ideally in visually-driven industries like home décor, fashion, or beauty.
  • Demonstrated success in building and executing social strategies.
  • Proficiency with social platforms and tools like Sprout Social.
  • Skilled in content creation and performance analysis.
  • Experience with paid social media campaigns.

  • Strong visual sensibility and ability to produce polished content.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent storytelling and writing skills for diverse platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop and basic video editing.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
