THE NORTH FORK TABLE & INN IS HIRING A SOUS CHEF – HOUSING AVAILABLE

The North Fork Table & Inn is nestled in between some of the areas greatest farms and wineries. Southold offers a great opportunity to get out of the city for the summer and enjoy vast outdoor spaces with a handful of beaches near by.

The kitchen is completely remodeled with a wood burning grill. The property boasts 6 acres of land for future farming.

North Fork Table and Inn has become a staple in the Southold community, and we're looking to continue doing so this season! Job Details

Restaurateur and Chef  John Fraser is currently looking to fill a sous chef position at the newly reopened  North Fork Table & Inn . There are many opportunities for growth for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support in the daily preparation of food.
• Maintaining accurate prep lists, order guides, and recipes
• Assist in scheduling and management of daily kitchen operations, including food truck and events. 
• Assist with staff meals.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and food presentation.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization, adhere to safe work and equipment practices, and follow all food safety, health and sanitation standards.
• Properly store and/or discard leftover food.
• Set up, stock stations, and replenish kitchen inventory and supplies as needed.
• Ensure all the products and prepared items are correctly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated following FIFO (first in, first out).
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines including being ready to work at scheduled shift, in uniform, as per uniform standards.
• Complete any other task given in a timely and professional manner.
• Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company.
• Must be able to maintain a schedule that is flexible to the business demands.
