Job Description

RN - Trauma Manager

Job Summary:

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room.
Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system.
Performs focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient in a timely manner according to established triage guidelines.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
3-5 years nursing experience required.

Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general.
