Mobile Phlebotomist II – Explore Multiple Locations, One Vital Role!!

Phlebotomist II assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting issues, providing training, and making workflow recommendations. This position involves collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, properly explaining the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections and demonstrating techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens following established procedures.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures.
• Place samples in appropriate collection containers and label them accurately.
• Respond to telephone inquiries and read laboratory results as needed.

Must haves

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with pediatric draws is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
