This is an Operations position responsible for performing the computer keying of all maintenance records and repairs on fleet equipment into the maintenance software, answering phone calls from delivery associates and vendors regarding breakdowns, parts ordered, parts deliveries, fuel deliveries, and other fleet maintenance related duties. Responsibilities include inputting all purchase orders and work orders into maintenance software, directing phone calls to fleet managers or others as needed, identifying problems and proposing solutions for improved shop efficiency, working with other departments within Sysco, maintaining and reviewing inventory of parts and supplies, analyzing prices from vendors, ensuring all equipment is scheduled for preventative maintenance and other maintenance as needed, assigning backhaul pickups, receiving incoming calls from drivers, associates, and customers, and keeping management informed of all activities concerning the Operations department. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience, 1-3 months related experience and/or training, data entry experience, SAP preferred, valid driver license with a clean driving record, basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Outlook, use of 10-key by touch, strong listening and communication skills, ability to plan and organize work tasks, ability to read and comprehend instructions, ability to present information effectively, basic math skills, common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software, and Microsoft Word. Physical demands include sitting, talking, hearing, walking, using hands, standing, reaching, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
