Description We are looking for a skilled Logistics Coordinator specializing in Ocean Exports to join our team in Cypress, California. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will oversee international shipping operations, ensuring shipments are managed efficiently and comply with global trade regulations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in freight forwarding, exceptional organizational skills, and proficiency in CargoWise. Responsibilities: - Manage the complete lifecycle of ocean export shipments, from booking to final delivery. - Prepare and process export documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and regulatory filings. - Coordinate bookings with carriers and agents to secure timely vessel schedules and space availability. - Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, customs brokers, and overseas agents to facilitate smooth cargo movement. - Accurately input and maintain shipment details in CargoWise, ensuring documentation and milestones are updated. - Track and trace shipments, proactively addressing any delays or operational issues. - Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company-specific standard operating procedures. - Handle billing, costing, and invoice accuracy within the system. - Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, operations, and customs departments to optimize processes. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in ocean export operations within freight forwarding or logistics. - Proficiency in CargoWise is essential. - Strong understanding of export documentation, international shipping regulations, and Incoterms. - Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. - Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to compliance. - A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
