Job Description

At Kopfer Taylor Interiors, we specialize in crafting custom luxury homes by partnering closely with top-tier architects, builders, and vendors. From initial concept to final installation, our collaborative approach ensures a highly personalized and sophisticated living experience. We focus on four key project types: new home construction, whole-home renovations, major additions to existing homes, and comprehensive interior design (minimum five rooms).

Every project is backed by meticulous documentation, including concept presentations, curated mood boards, architectural plans (floor plans, elevations, and sections), 3D renderings, finish schedules, furniture budgets, itemized proposals, installation guides, and post-installation care instructions. This comprehensive process guarantees seamless execution and transparency from start to finish.

Role Description:

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Interior Designer to join our team in Austin, TX. This role requires a highly organized, creative professional who can manage multiple projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to high-end residential designs with precision and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining clear communication and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

• Develop and deliver design solutions within tight deadlines, demonstrating adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude under pressure.

• Assist the Principal Designer in defining the overall aesthetic and functionality of project interiors.

• Create and maintain finish schedules, furniture plans, floor pattern layouts, and other necessary design diagrams.

• Contribute to space planning concepts and generate program documents to support project development.

• Participate in project installations, ensuring seamless execution of the design vision.

• Stay informed about the latest architectural materials and finishes by engaging with product representatives.

Requirements:

• Degree in Interior Design (or equivalent experience) from an accredited school, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Exceptional candidates without a degree but with strong experience and drive will also be considered.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of design.

• Experience in high-end residential interior design is highly desirable.

• Ability to quickly communicate design ideas and direction.

• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.

  • If you are passionate about luxury residential design and eager to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you!
