This individual will direct the construction management of the project and reports to the Project Director. Our Construction Managers are responsible for all construction activities as well as construction support for start-up and technical activities.
Job Description
Construction Manager shall provide construction and technical field oversight to ensure work is being performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, all state and local codes, compliance with all accepted industry standards, policies and procedures, and the EPC Agreement.
Heavy Civil background either in engineering or site management (Power Plant or Industrial Plant work a plus).
Monitor the safety, environmental, and quality management of the work.
Represent the client in the field and coordinating with the EPC contractor to ensure construction and commissioning work is performed in accordance with project documents, codes, and good industry practice.
Review Construction / Engineering drawings.
Participate in and lead meetings with the clients project team and EPC.
Create and modify daily / weekly reports.
Provide input to weekly / monthly / quarterly reports.
Manage and resolve issues and non-conformances.
Support and drive issue resolution and lessons learned.
Act as the clients quality assurance and perform routine audits of the EPC QA/QC program, document and provide reports.
Document findings in the field through field observation reports.
Lead system turnover walkdowns and verification.
Provide input to the clients Project Controls in project quantity tracking and progress reporting.
Qualifications
Heavy civil background
Large industrial complexes or Power Generation preferred.
Long term projects and must be willing to travel within the service territory to include, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Open to being on site for extended periods of time. (Per Diem based on GSA for specific location)
